An associate of mine actually sent me this article about H5P. Like others, I had never heard of this company. However, as soon as I began reading the article, it was apparent why she sent it to me. I immediately began following them on Twitter.
H5P states that their goal is to provide students with amazing content as fast as possible. The H5P Content Hub is the heart of H5P and the soul of their vision of empowering everyone to create, share and reuse interactive content. Current platforms using H5P are Moodle, Word Press, Blackboard, Canvas, and Brightspace. With this new proponent of global collaboration, teachers will have access to even more content than what is available now. This furthers the agenda to integrate more technology in the classrooms. They do this by allowing you to create interactive content in your browser. You use the H5P website to easily create interactive activities that can be embedded into an online course or onto a blog or website. H5P can also help you take something you've found or created on another website, "import" it into H5P, and then embed it into your course or website. I believe both of these capabilities should prove to be very beneficial to teachers who have an online presence of any kind for their classes. Since the onset of COVID-19, I, like many, have had to establish an online presence. I believe the information shared here can truly be a great asset to the education community. This provides us so many ways to integrate technology in our classrooms through just a browser. Be sure to check out the additional resources below.
