Let me introduce you to Nicole A Robinson, M.A.T. [Master of Art in Teaching]..... I stated in a previous journal entry, 'Did Somebody Say Graduation???' , about the CLIP Program that I was enrolled in. Well I completed the 15 month journey, passed my PLT, received my teaching certificate, and graduated with my masters. With COVID restrictions in place, we were obviously limited on guests that could attend however, it was streamed live for everyone to see. I know my parents were devastated they had to tune in virtually but I was happy knowing they were safe watching me cross the stage from home.
My graduation crew consisted of 4 very important people in my life. The first person is my sistah and Teaching Coach the one and only Ladeisha George. She was actually a very well respected math teacher prior to her position as Supervisor of Curriculum & Instructional Support for our parish. She is the person who introduced me to the CLIP program and the reason my career path took such a drastic change. My kiddos inspire me to never stop. I want them to know that even the sky isn't the limit, they are their only limits. So I never stop setting goals to be crushed because I want them to see the sky truly isn't our limit. Lastly, my rock, my wife, Stephanie. From the 15 months of anxiety and stress that consumed me, to the countless sleepless months, and multiple cancelled plans she was right there encouraging, supporting, and praying for me me. I'm beyond grateful for having her by my side through this process. I told her this was our degree because this program consumed my entire life for a 15 month span. She was patient, loving and kind all the attributes that balanced my libra scales during this journey. So yeah it's safe to say that on yesterday.....I MASTERED IT!!!!
